Eid al-Fitr will be held online in Bashkiria

The Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, which ends the month of Ramadan, will be held in Bashkiria on May 24. It has always been traditionally accompanied by mass worship in mosques with the participation of a large number of believers.
At an operational meeting in the Government RB on May 18, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov said that the celebration of Eid al-Fitr this year would be held online by analogy with the celebration of Orthodox Easter. This decision was made after consultation with spiritual leaders.
“In accordance with the decree on the high-alert regime, we have agreed that we banned mass gatherings. Therefore, we propose holding festive services in online broadcasting, as we did by analogy with Orthodox Easter, ”said Radiy Khabirov.
As previously reported, May 24, 2020 - Eid al-Fitr - was declared a public holiday in the republic.
