Lung ventilators prohibited by Roszdravnadzor still planned to be used in Bashkiria
The leadership of Bashkortostan does not yet see any reason to revise the contract for the supply of Avent-M mechanical lung ventilation devices, the regional Health Minister Maxim Zabelin said at a briefing.
On May 13, due to fires that occurred in clinics in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Roszdravnadzor suspended the use of these devices in the country.
According to the head of the department, the Ministry of Health RB has signed a contract for the supply of 300 Aventa-M lung ventilators. Now, in accordance with the regulations of the department, the quality, safety, and operating conditions of the equipment are being checked.
“So far, we have no information that other regions allegedly terminate the contracts. I would like to say that this device will be delivered with a guarantee, with the necessary safety conditions and regulations, so the leadership of the republic does not see any reason to revise the contract so far,” said Zabelin.
