Two thousand applications for unemployment benefits are submitted per day in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, employment services received more than 60 thousand applications for unemployment benefits, said Labor Minister Lenara Ivanova at a briefing session in the government. “The growth went exponentially; we have already broken the record of 2009. More than 2 thousand applications are received per day, ”she commented on the matter.

Currently, 50 thousand unemployed are registered in the region. Most of them lost their jobs after March 1 and will receive the maximum allowance.

“We are aware that the Russian government plans to discuss further measures. Besides, we applied for five federal events to support the labor market worth 741 million rubles,” the minister said.
