135 thousand medical masks will be distributed among Bashkiria residents

In Bashkortostan, the republican campaign #MaskaVPomosch continues, during which residents of 23 cities and urban settlements of the republic will receive a total of 135,000 medical masks.

On May 12, the Head of the Region Radiy Khabirov at a briefing session in the Government RB noted that the republic would be ready to allocate funds to purchase masks, and then with the help of volunteers, give them out to needy residents, especially the elderly.

Earlier volunteers have already distributed 150 thousand masks in the region.

Yesterday, the masks arrived in Ufa; protective equipment will be delivered to the zonal volunteer development centers. Then volunteers will distribute masks in places accessible for visiting citizens - grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations - in compliance with all safety precautions.

Ufa became the first city to receive medical masks as part of the republican campaign. Each of the seven districts of the city received 5 thousand masks.

Residents of Sterlitamak and Ishimbay will also receive masks. In the remaining 20 municipalities, volunteers will begin giving out masks to residents on May 14.
