Chishminsky sugar factory plans to stock up 700 thousand tons of sugar beets this year

The Chishminsky sugar factory, despite the overproduction of granulated sugar in Russia, plans to stock up about 700 thousand tons of sugar beets this year. Roughly the future crop is to be processed in the first decade of September, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan reports.

Since 2019, the plant has been implementing the project “Reconstruction and expansion of production capacities for making granulated beet pulp.” 452 million rubles will be invested in the modernization of the Chishminsky sugar factory, of which 102 million will be allocated from the republican budget. With these investments, the production facilities of granulated beet pulp, which is in high demand not only in Russia but also abroad, will be reconstructed and expanded.

The plant is part of the Tavros group of companies, which signed an agreement with the government of the republic for 452 million rubles at the Investment Forum “Zauralie-2019”. The implementation of the project will allow annually producing more than 30 thousand tons of granular products.
