Bashkiria residents will have long weekends in May and June

Residents of Bashkiria will again have long weekends in May and June, the republican Ministry of Labor reminds.

May 24, 2020 - Eid al-Fitr - was declared a public holiday in the republic.

“This year, the religious holiday coincides with the weekly rest day - Sunday. Therefore, when the weekend and non-working holidays coincide, the weekend is postponed to the next working day after the holiday, ”the press service of the department explained. “June 12 - Day of Russia - is also a public holiday.”

Thus, the days off in Bashkiria in connection with the holidays during the five-day working week are May 23, 24, 25, and June 12, 13, 14, 2020. On Thursday, June 11, working hours are reduced by one hour.

“When providing annual main or annual additional paid leave, non-working holidays on May 24 and June 12 are not included in the number of calendar days of the leave,” the Bashkiria Ministry of Labor added.
