Two Bashkir hospitals were supported by Turkish companies

Two Bashkir hospitals received support from Turkish companies that wished to remain anonymous. It was reported by the online newspaper Realnoe Vremya with reference to Ismet Erikan, Consul General of the Republic of Turkey, in Kazan.

According to the publication, assistance was provided to the Infectious Clinical Hospital No. 4 and the Ufa City Children's Hospital, as well as to 5 Tatarstan medical institutions where patients with the coronavirus are treated. The total amount of charitable assistance provided amounted to 6 million rubles.

It is reported that the Consulate General contacted the ministries of health of the two regions, and found out exactly what the medical institutions of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan needed.

"Our help is to provide hygiene products, medical suits and lab coats for doctors," said the Consul General. "Besides, we began to provide these institutions with masks (40 thousand masks have already been delivered). All these products were produced by local companies."

The diplomat refused to state the names of the companies that took part in the charity event, as this is considered improper from the point of view of Muslim religious beliefs.
