Ufa clinic became first in Russia to perform tremor treatment by ultrasound

The Ufa Clinic of Intellectual Neurosurgery was the first in Russia to have a unique, painless, bloodless surgery without anesthesia for the treatment of tremor. Doctors prepared for it for two years and managed to carry it out using focused ultrasound under the control of MRI.

The first patient was a 68-year-old man with Parkinson's disease. He successfully worked as a veterinarian and even performed a Caesarean section on animals, but recently the disease has limited his ability as a physician: his hands were trembling.

Eight doctors simultaneously monitored the patient's condition and performed delicate workmanship. As a result, it was possible to achieve the complete disappearance of tremor in the patient and to perform a bloodless non-invasive thalamatomy. During the surgery and in the postoperative period, the man did not have any complaints. In the evening, the patient underwent control MRI of the brain; no complications were revealed.
