Michio Kaku: no one can predict epidemics nowadays

Theoretical physicist, an active popularizer of science, futurist Michio Kaku believes that 60% of all diseases cannot be predicted, and even more, it is difficult to predict when an epidemic may occur. He stated this at the First International Online Forum "The World After the Coronavirus: View from the Heart of Eurasia", which took place in Ufa on April 28.

"However, it is important for us to understand where the foci of the epidemic are. We need to evaluate where they arise, and thus we can curb the epidemic. At the same time, we must not forget about artificial intelligence, which will allow us to prevent the development of a new epidemic in the future," the scientist believes.
