New infectious center near Ufa is being constructed on fast-track basis

By April 22, near Ufa, the construction of a dormitory for the medical staff of the new infectious disease center was completed. The bypass road, the driving of piles, and the horizontal layout of the entire site were also completed.

As previously reported, the clinical diagnostic infectious center will consist of seven prefabricated structures. Such buildings can be operated up to 50 years.

“We tried to create a project that will allow doctors to move around as little as possible,” said Andrey Starikov, chief architect of the hospital under construction.

The new clinical diagnostic center in the Ufa district of Bashkiria is scheduled to be commissioned on May 25. The rules are dictated by the sanitary and epidemiological situation associated with the spread of new coronavirus infection. The hospital will be able to accommodate simultaneously up to 470 patients with mono-infection. It is planned to equip two infectious departments: 82 isolated and 18 intensive care units, resuscitation department, diagnostics, disinfection, a dormitory for employees for 46 people, a canteen.

Already 22 lung ventilators were purchased for the infection center. Another 50 will arrive later. Today, the value of the object is estimated at 1.8 billion rubles. However, the final cost will become known after the approval of design decisions and the conclusion of the examination of the estimated cost. For medical institutions, the price is unprecedentedly low, due to the technology and the fact that all manufacturers from the republic work at the actual cost, realizing what important and responsible project they are involved in.
