New team of doctors began to work in Kuvatov Hospital

Today, April 21, a new team of doctors and medical personnel from among the clinic staff who completed quarantine and received two negative results of the test for COVID-19, as well as from other medical institutions of the capital, began work at the Kuvatov Republican Clinical Hospital in Ufa.

The teams will provide medical care to the remaining patients with severe conditions due to the underlying disease, and according to COVID-19. There are more than 150 such patients today, 34 of them had the confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis.

The day after the strict coronavirus quarantine introduced here two weeks ago, doctors and patients were discharged from the hospital walls, the Bashinform News Agency reported. The clinic staff began a two-week period of self-isolation.

The hospital has formed "red" and "green" zones, equipped with gateways with suits and other personal protective equipment. Those who work in the "red zone" will remain on a two-week shift. Employees from the "green zone" will go home or carry the usual round-the-clock duty.

From April 23 to May 5, the hospital will work only for contact COVID-19 patients of the city of Ufa and the Central Medical District.

From May 6 to May 31, the Republican Clinical Hospital will begin to work for residents of the whole republic, both for contact patients and patients with COVID-19 who need help in other areas - surgery, cardiology, neurology, and others. Also, patients who are now in the pulmonology department will continue treatment at the hospital. As they stabilize, they will be transferred under the medical supervision at the place of residence, the Ministry of Health RB reported.
