Сoronavirus peak will be reached in Bashkiria no earlier than May

Bashkiria is far from the peak in the situation with COVID-19. It was announced at a briefing session in the Government RB on April 20 by the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov.

“You noticed that the situation is on the rise. We see the quantitative growth of patients. This figure will still increase with us; we are still far from the peak. As we understand, Moscow faced this problem three to four weeks earlier than us, and, as you can see, Moscow is only just approaching a certain peak. Accordingly, after this, we will reach our peak here. Therefore, I am urging you again, dear colleagues, to set yourself up for a fairly long, continuous, serious, and responsible work, ”said Radiy Khabirov.

Earlier, M.D. Naufal Zagidullin, a member of the working group of scientists at Bashkir State Medical University and Ufa State Aviation Technical University, who are developing forecasts for the coronavirus spread development, wrote that the peak of infections in Russia “will be reached by May 7-8, and then the plateau will be hit. The plateau will last 1-2 weeks and will be followed by a smooth decline. Megacities Moscow and St. Petersburg will pass the peak faster. The regions will repeat the trend a few days later”.
