A new method of COVID-19 laboratory diagnosis was tested in the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Ufa.

This is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the presence of antibodies to the coronavirus. The work is being carried out in collaboration with the “Diagnostic Systems” (Nizhny Novgorod).

Due to the positive results obtained in the coming weeks, the specialists of this enterprise plan to start production of test systems in two versions: determination of total antibodies (IgM, IgA, IgG) and specific IgG antibodies. This will allow diagnosing coronavirus infection both at an early and late stage, the Ministry of Health RB reported.
