About 9 thousand coronavirus tests are expected to be studied in Bashkiria laboratories

In the laboratories of Bashkiria, about 9 thousand samples for coronavirus are expected to be tested. The delay arose due to the heavy load in connection with the epidemiological situation. The Minister of Health RB Maxim Zabelin wrote about this on his Facebook page.

At present, eight laboratories of the Ministry of Health RB have been deployed in the republic, which conduct up to 1,500 studies daily.

In the coming week, another laboratory will open at the Sterlitamak City Hospital No.2, which will make it possible to redistribute the samples and reduce the waiting time for the results.

“Laboratory diagnosis of COVID-19 infection is carried out, according to the current sanitary rules, in the conditions of laboratories performing PCR tests. This research method allows you to identify a specific section of COVID-19 RNA in the acute phase of the disease, ”the minister explained.

He also said that reagents for detecting antibodies to COVID-19 are expected to appear in the Russian market in the coming weeks, which will expand the spectrum of not only the detection of the disease but also the possibility of the virus treatment.
