Bashkiria residents actively join volunteer movement to help elderly

With the spread of the coronavirus, thousands of volunteers in cities and regions help residents of Bashkortostan - they bring food, medicine, and essentials. First of all, such assistance is required for people at risk - pensioners over 65, single grandparents, large families.
“The fight against coronavirus is a challenge that can only be overcome by joint efforts. Many residents of the republic are now on self-isolation, and they need support. Despite the fact that we are now outside of Bashkortostan, we are always in touch and try to help. State Duma plenary sessions are held regularly, as important bills should be adopted, some of which were adopted as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Having returned to the republic, even in conditions of self-isolation, we will continue our work. The coronavirus has already made adjustments to our activities - many assistant deputies of the State Duma work around the clock at the United Russia call center (8-800-201-89-03), deliver food and medicine as volunteers, communicate with people and try to assist in solving pressing problems,” the State Duma deputy Ramzil Ishsarin shared with Bashinform News Agency.
The parliamentarian himself made his feasible contribution - at his own expense, he helped to form food packages for the needy residents of the republic.
Entrepreneurs from Ufa Anastasia Giniatullina and Alina Tokareva supported the volunteers of the “Our Care” project of “United Russia.” The girls handed over to the volunteers a batch of reusable masks.
AnastasiyaWedding wedding house redesigned its workshop and began to sew masks. Entrepreneurs contacted volunteers and offered their help via hotline of the United Russia call center. Thus, the first batch of 150 masks was given to volunteers.
During these three weeks, 1113 residents of Bashkortostan called the hotline of the All-Russian mutual aid campaign #MyVmeste.
The regions of the republic are also actively involved in volunteer and charity assistance.
In the Kuyurgazinsky district, a volunteer headquarters with more than 100 volunteers are working to assist senior citizens and people with limited mobility during their isolation period. They are engaged in the delivery of food and medicine to single and elderly residents of the area, people who suffer from chronic diseases. In some rural settlements, local craftswomen began to sew masks.
