15 new lung ventilators will be delivered to Bashkiria hospitals this week

This week, 15 new lung ventilators, purchased at the expense of the republican budget, will arrive in Bashkiria hospitals. Also, in the near future, an additional batch of medical equipment from the federal center is expected. It was announced today at a briefing session in the government by the head of the regional Ministry of Health Maxim Zabelin.

According to him, the devices will be redistributed to hospitals redeveloped as hospital bases for the treatment of patients with new coronavirus infection. A total of 1,651 beds for hospitalization and 1,103 beds for isolation wards will be additionally deployed in the republic.

“At present, the necessary staff training is being carried out according to the federal department standards. The necessary stock of medicines and personal protective equipment has been created, ”the Minister added.

Radiy Khabirov, in turn, instructed the Minister to pay special attention to providing medical personnel with protective equipment. “We need to protect doctors,” the head of the republic said.
