More than 30 thousand people fell ill with influenza and ARVI in Bashkiria over past week

In Bashkiria over the past week, more than 30,788 people, including 18,711 children, got the flu and acute respiratory viral infections.

The incidence compared with the previous week increased by 17.6%. The epidemiological threshold is exceeded by 31.9%, according to the regional Rospotrebnadzor.

In Ufa, according to preliminary diagnoses, 9,121 cases of flu and ARVI were registered, including 4,781 cases (52.4%) in children. The incidence also remains above the epidemic threshold.

Both influenza viruses (influenza B predominates, pandemic influenza A (H1N1) 2009 strain), and non-influenza etiology viruses are identified in laboratory examinations from patients.
