Rospotrebnadzor: coronavirus in infected Russians proceeds without overt clinical symptoms

In the majority of Russians infected with coronavirus, the disease progresses without overt clinical symptoms. It was announced by the country's chief sanitary doctor Anna Popova in an interview with the Pozner program, TASS reports.

According to the head of Rospotrebnadzor, 72% of those infected with coronavirus in our country carry the disease almost asymptomatically. Only 5% have "clinical manifestations in the form of pneumonia."

Besides, out of 438 people who have currently confirmed the virus, only one was rated as severe. His state has already been stabilized. Experts explain the complications by the heavy weight of this patient and the presence of diabetes.

There are no more severe patients with coronavirus in Russia, Anna Popova added.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the information on the extent of the coronavirus spread in Russia is provided objectively by the state. The President assured that the authorities did not and would not hide the true information about the extent of the coronavirus spread of in the country.
