Bashkiria bicycle routes interested tourists from Moscow region, Lipetsk, Izhevsk

Anton Sazonov, the head of the “Planeta” non-profit organization, conducts presentations of Bashkiria cycle routes in various Russian cities as part of the development of the VeloRussia - Russian Cycle Route project, in particular in the cities of Elektrostal, Lipetsk, Izhevsk.

Thus, 40 cycling tourists and students of local universities came to meet with a famous bicycle traveler in Lipetsk.

“I showed them a presentation of our routes, spoke about Bashkiria, about our nature and sights,” says Anton Sazonov. “Bashkiria, of course, inspires their interest. However, we are a little-known region in nationwide terms, and we should work hard to overcome this barrier. For example, Lipetsk is located only one and a half thousand kilometers from Bashkiria, but I had to tell for a long time that the Republic of Bashkortostan is located in the Southern Urals.”

Following the meeting, it was tentatively agreed that a pilot group of Lipetsk tourists will visit our region in the May holidays.

The main target audience of the cycling routes of Bashkortostan is the regions closest to the republic. Meetings with bicycle activists in Samara and Yekaterinburg are next in turn.

In the meantime, cycling enthusiasts travel to areas in Bashkiria where bike trails will pass, get acquainted with sights, objects that could potentially interest tourists, as well as service facilities. According to i-gazeta, until May 2020, Kushnarenkovsky, Buzdyaksky, Chekmagushevsky, Bizhbulyaksky, Yermekeyevsky, Miyakinsky, Sterlibashevsky, Ilishevsky, Sterlitamaksky, Nurimanovsky, Yanaulsky districts will be covered. Each of them is interesting and unique in its way and has interesting objects. It is planned to introduce them to curious Ufa residents and future cycling tourists.
