Bashkir Government assisted Ufa residents stuck in India to get out of country

The situation with two tourists from Ufa stuck in India due to the coronavirus is resolved. The couple spent more than a day at the Indira Gandhi Delhi Airport and could not reach the representatives of the Russian Embassy. Representatives of the Government of Bashkiria, in particular, the Chairman of the Republican State Tourism Committee Salavat Nafikov and the Acting Head of the State Committee On Foreign Economic Relations of the region Margarita Bolycheva, kept in touch with them.

According to the Government of Bashkiria, experts helped Ufa tourists with information. On March 21, the couple flew from India to Kazakhstan. Then they will go to Moscow. Upon arrival in Ufa, tourists promised to get in touch.

Earlier it was reported that since March 21, India had closed airspace with foreign countries due to the threat of the coronavirus spread. After arriving in the capital of Bashkiria, a couple of tourists should isolate themselves (be under quarantine) for 14 days.
