Doctors are monitoring more than 300 residents of Bashkiria with suspected coronavirus

Multiple messages appeared on the Internet, fake news about people who could become infected with a new coronavirus. On behalf of the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, an emergency briefing was held at the Bashinform News Agency with the participation of the heads of the regional Ministry of Health, Rospotrebnadzor, the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology and the Infectious Disease Hospital.

According to the Interim Head of Rospotrebnadzor of Bashkiria, Alexander Zherebtsov, as of March 13, more than 125 thousand people fell ill with coronavirus in the world, and 34 people in Russia. There are no patients with new coronavirus in Bashkortostan.

However, according to Alexander Zherebtsov, 311 residents of the republic who came from abroad are under the supervision of district doctors. They are self-isolated, that is, they are at home in quarantine, which lasts 14 days. To date, 481 people have been deregistered in Bashkiria.

In the Ufa Infectious Disease Hospital, doctors monitor the health status of 18 patients with suspected Chinese coronavirus, said Radik Galimov, the head doctor of the medical institution.

He also added that on the air border - at the airport of Ufa - there is enhanced dual control when meeting passengers.

Anna Kozak, the chief physician of the regional Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, said that tests of patients suspected of a new coronavirus had been conducted in the republic since February 18. There are special test systems for this.
