Maternity capital will be automatically issued in Russia

The issuance of a maternity capital certificate will be the first social public service in Russia, which is provided automatically. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Russia.

The measures will enter into force on April 15.

The Pension Fund will receive the necessary information independently after the birth of a child from the Unified Register of Civil Status Records, which already contains all the necessary information about the child and its parents.

They will check information on possible restrictions that prevent the issuance of a certificate. If such restrictions are not identified, the document will be issued, and information about it will be sent to the certificate holder.

The notification on the issuance of the certificate will also be sent to the mother's personal account registered on the public services portal and to the number indicated on the portal. If there is no registration on the public services portal, or if the information about the child is not available in a single register, one can apply to the Pension Fund and Multifunctional Center branches. In these cases, the deadlines for issuing a certificate for mother capital will be reduced from 15 to 5 working days, and employees of the Pension Fund will inform about its readiness.
