Russians are reminded of long weekends and reduced working hours in May
The next long weekend and holidays await the Russians in May. They are associated with the celebration of the Day of Spring and Labor and Victory Day, while the duration of two pre-holiday working days is reduced by one hour, the deputy head of Rostrud Ivan Shklovets told RIA Novosti.
“In connection with the celebration of the Day of Spring and Labor (May 1), Russians will rest for five consecutive days: from May 1 to 5, inclusive. This is followed by a short working week, which will last from May 6 to May 8. In connection with the celebration of Victory Day, Russians again expect a long weekend - from May 9 to 11, inclusive,” he stressed.
Since April 30 and May 8 are pre-holiday working days, their duration will be reduced by one hour.
