Bannoe Lake in Bashkiria was in Top 10 resorts of Russia for spring holidays

Bannoe Resort (Yaktykul) in Bashkiria is among the top ten most popular Russian resorts for spring breaks. The rating of the best Russian resorts for holidays this spring was made by the tourist portal TourStat according to the results of an online survey.
The Top 10 Russian holiday resorts in spring included the Rosa Khutor mountain resort in Sochi, Yalta in Crimea, Moscow region resorts, Baikal in the Irkutsk region and Buryatia, Krasnaya Polyana resort in Sochi, Leningrad region resorts, Caucasian Mineralnye Vody resorts in Stavropol Territory as well as the resort town of Belokurikha in the Altai Territory, Bannoe in Bashkiria and the Baltic resort of Svetlogorsk in the Kaliningrad Region.
According to the results of the survey, 20% of the respondents voted for the Rosa Khutor resort in Sochi as the best for the spring holidays. Yalta had 18% of votes, resorts of the Moscow Region - 12%, Baikal - 11%, the Krasnaya Polyana resort - 8%, the Leningrad Region resorts - 6%, resorts in the Caucasus Mineralnye Vody, Belokurikha and Bannoe - 5% each, Svetlogorsk - 4%.
The rating is based on an online survey of more than 10 thousand visitors to the portal in March this year.
Yakty-Kul (Bannoe) is the deepest lake in Bashkiria. The name of the lake "Yakty-Kul" in translation from Bashkir means "light lake".
The well-known name - Bannoe - is associated with Emelyan Pugachev: legend says that in 1774 the Pugachev army stopped in this place for a bathing day.
The area of ​​the lake is 7.7 square kilometers, length - 4170 meters, and the maximum depth reaches 28 meters. The lake is surrounded by the Kutukai and Karanyalyk mountains, from the tops of which a beautiful panorama opens.
