Ufa bicycle traveler Anton Sazonov met with children as part of BiblioTravel club

On March 4, a thematic meeting “Cycling in Russia and the World” by the bicycle traveler Anton Sazonov and secondary school students No. 42 and No. 49 of the Oktyabrsky District of Ufa was held at the Children's Reading Center of the Ahmet-Zaki Validi National Library. The event was held as part of the monthly meetings of the BiblioTravel club.
Recall that in 2018, the traveler rode a bicycle over Southeast Asia, and in 2019, he made a trip from Ufa to Cape Roca across Europe. He carried letters with him from Russian schoolchildren to foreign peers. Anton Sazonov held meetings in schools in cities along the way, talked about Russia and Bashkiria, invited foreign schools to cooperate with Russian ones. The essential point is that the children wrote paper letters to each other. According to Anton Sazonov, in the age of the Internet, there is not enough live, real communication.
The traveler told the students about the history of the creation and implementation of the international cycling expedition “Children of the World”.
Anton Sazonov is the director of the “Planeta” association for the development of tourism, local history and environmental projects, a member of the Russian Geographical Society, the author of the international project “Children of the World”. And his project “Children of the World” Bicycle Expedition is a long bike ride combined with a mission to deliver children's letters to schools throughout the world.
Currently, Anton Sazonov is developing the third stage of the “Children of the World” expedition for 2020.
The expedition should start on May 1 in Tallinn and end in November in Almaty. The route will pass through the territory of 15 former Soviet republics. All of it will be covered, like the previous two expeditions, by bicycle.
