50 large women of Bashkiria awarded Motherhood Glory medals on eve of March 8

In Bashkiria, on the eve of International Women's Day, 50 more women with many children received the Motherhood Glory medals. Teachers, nurses, educators, cooks, and housewives were among the awarded. All of them bring up five or more children. Medals were handed over by the Head of the Region Radiy Khabirov.

This award was established in 1998. During this time, more than 8 thousand mothers were awarded it. The medal goes with a cash bonus of 8.7 thousand rubles, net of tax.

"A total of 251 children are being raised in your families. Let them all grow up healthy, smart, and happy, good people, honest workers," Radiy Khabirov addressed the mothers. "We will continue to improve our villages and cities, make them beautiful, comfortable and safe. We will continue to build new schools and kindergartens, hospitals and clinics, cultural and sports centers in them, so that our children receive a quality education, grow up smart and healthy, fulfill themselves in careers, create strong families."

In total, there are more than 46 thousand mothers with many children in the republic. Bashkortostan ranks first in the Volga Federal District by the number of large families.
