2169 people were employed in healthcare industry in Bashkiria in 2019

1,816 health care workers were fired in 2019 in Bashkiria, the Minister of Health of the region, Maxim Zabelin, said at a briefing session on January 20.

In total, 2169 people were employed in the healthcare industry over the year.

The increase in the number of doctors and medical staff amounted to 353 people.

In 2020, the figure should be increased to 500, said the Head of the Region Radiy Khabirov.

We plan to recruit 2,300 doctors and other medical personnel, Maxim Zabelin reported.

The Head of the Republic noted that competition for doctors in the coming years [u]would[/u] be strong until reaching the figure of 70-75% indicated in the Address of the President of the Russian Federation (it relates to employer-sponsored education for medical specialties at universities - up to 70-75% of the openings). Radiy Khabirov instructed the heads of municipalities to be personally engaged in attracting specialists and provide doctors with state support measures.
