Special road signs will lead to 108 tourist sites in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, work began on the installation of information signs leading to tourist sites. At the “Transport Hour” session held on March 2, the Head of the Region Radiy Khabirov instructed to prepare a technical task for equipping the main tourist trails and routes with detailed information signs as soon as possible.

Signs will be produced at the “Remstroydormash” plant, where all road signs for the republic's roads are produced.

To date, according to Salavat Nafikov, 108 tourist sites have been identified, which will be signposted by road signs. The list includes both large popular objects and little-known ones, for example, interesting museums and temples. Signs will be installed on federal, regional, and local roads. Among the objects are the Shulgan-Tash cave, Mount Iremel, the Arsky Stone, the Nugush and Yumaguzinsky reservoirs, the Bashkiria National Park, and many others.

Activists have been saying for a long time that road navigation to tourist sites should be made in Bashkiria.

“Two federal highways and many roads of inter-regional significance pass through the republic, the traffic is huge, and the signs could help to get some of this traffic to our tourist sites,” said Anton Sazonov, a traveler who rode a bicycle through Europe and Asia. “There are signs in every country where I have been, and in many Russian regions. All over the world, they are standard - brown, the inscriptions are duplicated in English. It would be nice to place a QR code next to the name of the object leading to its description on the tourist website so that travelers can get the necessary minimum information about the object before the trip.”
