100-thousand reserve of protective masks due to coronavirus will be created in Bashkiria
On March 3, in Ufa, at a meeting of the operational headquarters to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, it was decided to create a 100-thousand reserve of protective masks. According to the press service of the Bashkir government, pharmacies continue to sell medical masks and anti-epidemic drugs without any disruption. First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB Andrei Nazarov emphasized that speculation and a rise in the price of sales of protective masks would not be allowed in the republic.
“Given global trends, there is no reason to hope for a quick end to the coronavirus situation,” said Andrei Nazarov. "We must be prepared for any development of events, and we must also prepare for the adoption of anti-crisis measures in the economy. The Chinese experience is proof of this.”
Galina Permina, the Deputy Chief Sanitary Doctor for RB, reported that a complex of anti-epidemic measures has been organized in Bashkortostan since January. All those who arrived in the republic from China underwent thorough examinations; no cases of COVID-19 were found in anyone.
Because of the coronavirus cases in Moscow, in Bashkiria, additional checks of the health status of all arriving from countries with unfavorable epidemiological situations are carried out. Within two weeks, they are all observed at the place of residence, and in case of detection of dangerous symptoms, emergency hospitalization is carried out.
