Bashkiria Emergency Ministry warns of heavy storm

Ministry of Emergency Situations of Bashkiria warns citizens about the strong gusts of wind. Residents of the republic received an SMS notification that on February 29, wind gusts of up to 17-22 m/s are expected in the region.

Cloudy weather with bright intervals is forecasted in the coming days. Chances of showers in the form of wet snow and rain, icy roads during the day in some areas are forecasted. The air temperature at night and day will be -2, + 3 C, at night in the southeast to -7 C.

Fog is possible in some sections of roads at night and in the morning, visibility of 500-1000 meters.

According to the Beaufort scale, a wind speed of 21-24 m/s corresponds to a “strong gale”. It may damage light buildings, as well as roofs and pipes.
