Holidays on March 8 - Bashkiria Labor Ministry

In March, due to the celebration of International Women's Day, Russians will have an additional day off, the Ministry of Labor of Bashkiria reminds.
According to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, March 8 - International Women's Day - is a non-working holiday.
"This year, a non-working holiday on March 8 coincides with a weekly day of rest - Sunday. If the weekend and non-working holidays coincide, the day off is postponed to the next day after the holiday", the department explained. “Accordingly, the day off from Sunday, March 8 is postponed to Monday, March 9, 2020. The duration of working hours is not reduced on Friday, March 6".
Thus, the days off in connection with the holidays during the five-day working week are March 7, 8 and 9, 2020.
When providing an annual main or annual additional paid vacation, a non-working holiday on March 8 shall not be included in the number of calendar days of vacation.
