China has developed vaccine against coronavirus

In China, a vaccine has been developed that is preliminarily considered effective against the coronavirus COVID-19, «Izvestiya» reports.

"China has already developed a vaccine that shows immunity. However, this is preliminary, further checks and developments should be done", Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui said on Monday.

Besides, doctors have successfully used Chinese medicines that do not give complications after use. Also effective was the Soviet drug used against malaria.

According to the diplomat, in China, several hundred people become infected with the coronavirus every day, and about 2 thousand recover.

Mortality from the coronavirus COVID-19 has decreased and now stands at less than 3% in Hubei, where it began to spread, and 0.55% in other Chinese provinces.

Earlier in China, they launched a medicine that the authorities officially recognized as potentially effective against coronavirus. The drug was known as Favipiravir or Avigan. Another medicine, Faveilaway, is approved for sale.

Also, it was announced the creation of an express test, with which the diagnosis of coronavirus takes only 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization warns that up to 66% of the world's population may get infected with coronavirus, provided that one patient only infects two or three people.
