Russia imposes restricted entry to Chinese citizens

Chinese citizens are temporarily restricted from entering Russia. According to TASS, the restriction starts to operate on February 20.

The measure applies to Chinese citizens traveling for work, for private, educational, and tourist purposes. It was announced following a meeting of the operational headquarters to prevent the importation and spread of new coronavirus infection in Russia.

“From 00.00 pm local time on February 20, 2020, temporarily suspend the passage of citizens of the People’s Republic of China across the state border of the Russian Federation entering the territory of the Russian Federation for the purpose of labor, for private, educational and tourist purposes,” the statement said.
