Bashkir State Pedagogical University became winner of Quality Innovation Award in Israel

Awarding of winners and finalists of the international Quality Innovation Award was held in Tel Aviv (Israel), in February 2020. According to the results of the competition, M. Akmulla Bashkir State Pedagogical University (BSPU) took second place in the nomination “Innovations in Education” with the project “Developing Lotto Games Series “Portrait of Bashkortostan”.
A series of board educational lotto games “Portrait of Bashkortostan” is designed for socialization and development of skills of children, adults, and people with visual impairment. Games develop an interest in the historical past, cultural heritage of our country, memory, attention, cognitive, and creative activity with the help of sensory sensations and game improvisations. The mentor of the project is Ekaterina Savelyeva, associate professor of the Department of Theories and Methods of Primary Education of the Pedagogics Institute BSPU.
The “Portrait of Bashkortostan” was supported by three federal grants. The projects implemented in 2017-2019 resulted in the distribution of lotto games and the training of these games of more than 7,000 people (of which 3,000 were visually impaired).
In the spring and summer of 2019, Akmulla University presented the Portrait of Bashkortostan game-lottery project to participate in the regional stage of the Quality Innovation Award in the nomination Education Innovations. Having successfully passed the regional and federal selection, the university received the right to represent Russia at the international final and became the winner of the competition.
The international competition “Quality Innovation Award” was launched in 2007 at the initiative of the Finnish Association of Quality; since 2010, the competition has become international. As a result of selection at the national stages, applications from more than 50 organizations from the European Union (Spain, Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, etc.), China, Israel, Serbia, South Africa, Kazakhstan, and Russia were accepted to the final of the international competition in 2019.
