Horse herd fell through ice in Bashkiria - video

A walk of a herd of horses almost ended in tragedy in the Iglinsky district of Bashkiria. According to a horse breeder Sagitzyan Idiyatullin, unstable weather conditions affected the situation.

“The horses entered the ice out of habit, as it was usually about half a meter thick,” the owner of the horses said.

Then a real rescue operation took place. The horses were hooked with ropes and dragged to the surface using a tractor. All animals remained safe and sound.
