Working group on industrial development of Shihan Kushtau is created in Bashkiria

On February 13, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov met with representatives of the scientific community of the region and discussed pressing issues related to the industrial development of Shihan Kushtau (monadnock).

The meeting was attended by the former head of “Bashnedra” Rasikh Khamitov, ecologist Mars Safarov, biologist of the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vasily Martynenko, geologist Iskhak Farkhutdinov, doctor of biological sciences Larisa Abramova, Minister of Ecology and Nature Management of Bashkiria Ural Iskandarov, deputy chairman of the State Assembly RB on agricultural issues, ecology and nature management Rufina Shagapova.

The participants touched on various scientific aspects related to the upcoming development of Kushtau, made suggestions on the maximum conservation of the Shihan flora and fauna, and also pointed out the need for further deep modernization of soda production.

According to the Head of the Region, the participants in the working group should carefully study the Shihan development project and prepare recommendations for the most rational survey and other works, as well as preserving the biological identity of Kushtau, especially in those areas that will not be affected in the production process.
