The Bashkir Met Office reports that on February 10, the wind is expected to increase, in places gusts of up to 18 m/s in the territory of Bashkortostan.
The General Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Republic of Bashkortostan recommends observing safety rules.
“With increased gusts of wind, it is necessary to refrain from leaving the buildings, stay inside the premises”, the department noted. “If a strong wind has caught outside, we recommend finding shelter in underground passages or building entrances. Do not hide from the strong wind near the walls of houses, as slate and other roofing materials may fall from the roofs. The same applies to public transport stops, billboards, trees, unfinished buildings. In strong winds, it is fatally hazardous to stand under power lines and approach broken wires”.
