According to the World Health Organization, the ratio of the number of new cases to the total number of patients has decreased compared to January.

On February 6, in China, a decrease in the number of cases was first recorded. However, the WHO believes that it is too early to draw conclusions that the highest incidence point has been passed. On January 23, the peak of this indicator reached 46%, after which there was a decline. On January 28, a new surge occurred: 39.1%, but by February 1, it dropped to 17.8, and on February 7, the ratio was already 10.2%.

According to Michael Ryan, WHO Executive Director for Emergency Programs, a decrease in the number of cases was recorded for the first time in China on February 6. However, the day before, the largest number of infected per day was registered from the beginning of the epidemics.

According to the latest data, the total number of people infected with coronavirus is approaching 35,000 people, more than 700 people have died, RIA Novosti reports. The World Health Organization has recognized the disease situation as an international emergency. Today, a second hospital was commissioned in Wuhan to treat patients with coronavirus.
