Russia does not plan to limit spring hunting due to coronavirus outbreak

Russia does not plan to abolish or limit spring hunting due to the outbreak of coronavirus 2019-nCoV in China, the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources reports.

“The Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia is not considering banning the spring hunting in our country,” said Andrei Filatov, director of the Department of State Policy and Regulation in the Hunting Economy of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources.

In accordance with Russian law, the parameters related to setting deadlines or banning hunting, including restrictions, are determined by the highest official of the subject of the Russian Federation or the head of the highest executive body of state power of the subject of the Russian Federation.

“At present, the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources has not yet received information on the planned introduction by the state authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation of the restrictions on spring hunting in 2020”, the department emphasized.
