Russia cancels all charter flights to China since February 14

UFA, 4 February 2020. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
Russia cancels all charter flights to China from February 14. It was reported to journalists by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, the head of the headquarters for the prevention of the importation and spread of new coronavirus infection in Russia Tatyana Golikova.
According to her, regular flights between Moscow and four cities of China continue to function. However, those charter flights that return the Russians from China are scheduled to stop since February 14.
“We addressed to our citizens who are in the PRC so that they make a responsible decision to return to the Russian Federation. It is done solely for the [reasons] of maintaining the health of these citizens”, TASS quoted Golikova as saying.
The Vice Prime Minister also noted that there were no grounds for the complete closure of air links between the Russian Federation and China.
Recall that after February 1, air traffic between the Russian Federation and China was limited amid an outbreak of coronavirus. The Ministry of Transport allowed airlines to carry out charter flights from Russian cities to China in order to return passengers back home.
