T-34 tank with inscription "Ufa" can be stored in museum near Moscow

Captured on a military newsreel, the T-34 tank with the word "Ufa" written on the tower can be stored in one of the museums in the Moscow Region. The tank was considered destroyed, but according to recent reports, it was preserved, restored as a monument, and now it is a museum exhibit. It was announced as part of the presentation of the rally in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory "75 Unknown Facts. The Republic of Bashkortostan During The War Years".

The "Ufa" tank gained wide popularity after including its graphic image in the fifth part of the popular computer game "Call of Duty" named "World at War". In this case, the developers of computer graphics relied on documentary video chronicle.

Judging by the presence of snow on the photo, the vehicle was captured by a front-line operator in the winter of 1944-1945. The likely shooting location could be Hungary, where during this period, fierce battles took place in the area of Lake Balaton, one of the Baltic countries or East Germany.

The chairman of the regional branch of the Russian Military Historical Society, Ramil Rakhimov, explained to the Bashinform News Agency that the verification of the version of the Ufa tank being in one of the museums would be based on archival data and checking the serial numbers on the vehicle's body.
