Schoolboy supposedly infected with new coronavirus is hospitalized in Bashkiria

In Sterlitamak, an eighth-grader was admitted to the hospital with suspicion of a new coronavirus. Information about his hospitalization appeared in local public places. The cityopen.ru portal asked Boris Sharipov, the chief doctor of the children's city hospital, to comment on the situation.

It turned out that the boy, along with his parents, was on vacation at Hainan Island in China. Recently, they returned from their trip, and the pupil felt bad. He was taken to the infectious diseases hospital.

"Now the child has gone several tests, the results will be ready in a few days. Perhaps we are talking about the usual ARVI, which, given adverse weather conditions, may be associated with the acclimatization," the doctor specified.

As the Bashinform News Agency reported, in Bashkortostan, as of February 3, no patients with the new coronavirus were registered. A complex of anti-epidemic measures has been organized in the republic to prevent the importation and spread of the new coronavirus infection.
