Radiy Khabirov: “There is no evidence of new coronavirus in Bashkortostan”

As of February 3, patients with a new coronavirus are not registered in Bashkortostan. It was announced at a briefing session in the Government RB by the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov.
According to the Chairman of the State Committee for Emergencies RB, Farit Gumerov, a complex of anti-epidemic measures has been organized in the republic to prevent the appearance and spread of new coronavirus infection.
“In particular, additional measures have been taken to strengthen sanitary and quarantine control at the Ufa airport. The necessary stock of antiviral drugs, disinfectants, and personal protective equipment has been formed. The procedures of immediate isolation of suspected ill people and the establishment of medical supervision over persons contacted with ill ones have been worked out. An algorithm has been developed for the actions of medical staff in case of new coronavirus infection suspicion”, he said.
Timur Mukhametyanov, the head of the Bashkir State Committee for Transport and Road Facilities, added that passenger flights between Russian and Chinese airlines, including commercial ones, were temporarily suspended since February 1.
Deputy Prime Minister RB Lenara Ivanova urged residents of the region to be vigilant: use masks in crowded places, as well as disinfectants.
As to the Bashinform News Agency reported, a complex of anti-epidemic measures was organized in the republic to prevent the importation and spread of new coronavirus infection.
