Lol Surprise toy manufacturer sues sellers from Bashkiria

Micro Games of America, MGA Entertainment, representing the interests of Lol Surprise, an American toy manufacturer, has filed lawsuits to the Bashkir Arbitration Court to recover compensation from local sellers of products under this brand. The essence of the claims has not yet been specified.

According to Kommersant-Ufa, the manufacturer seeks compensation from sellers for violation of exclusive rights to use trademarks, which follows from similar arbitration cases.

At the moment, the court has received 25 claims ranging from 30 to 70 thousand rubles. They are not yet accepted for consideration.

LOL Surprise! (from the English Lil Outrageous Littles) - a surprise toy in the form of a 3-inch ball with a doll or pet inside. The ball is packed in seven layers of the film: opening and alternately removing layers, one can find accessories for the doll. MGA Entertainment launched the first collection of these toys in December 2016. MGA Entertainment was founded in 1979 and was initially engaged in electronics. In the late 1980s, the company acquired the rights to sell Nintendo toys in the United States and turned into Micro Games of America - one of the largest toy manufacturers.
