Video of air-balloons flying over South Urals mountains is posted on Internet

A video of the flight of air-balloons over the mountains of the Southern Urals was uploaded on the Internet. It was posted by the Ambassador of the Ural Mountains, blogger, and traveler Oleg Chegodaev.

Oleg Chegodaev accompanied the participants of the second Samrau aeronautics festival, which took place last weekend in Bashkiria.

"The weather did not allow us to fulfill the maximum program: to make a massive flight through the Southern Urals, the widest part of the entire Urals at the second Samrau festival. The distance was reduced by three times, to 55 km: from the village of Uzyan to Lake Bannoe, through the ranges of Kraka, Uraltau, Krykty. And still, it was amazingly beautiful," he posted on his Facebook page.

The balloons rose to a height of 2500 meters and moved at a speed of 50 km per hour.

The 2nd International Air-Ballooning Festival "Samrau" was held in Bashkortostan from January 18 to 26.

The opening of the festival took place on January 18 at the foot of Mount Toratau. On January 19, 14 hot air balloons flew over Ufa at altitudes from 100 to 800 meters, with an average speed of 28 km/h.

This year, the festival expanded the number and geography of participants and acquired the status of an international event. Ufa Aviation Club "Polet" hosted balloonists from Yerevan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Tyumen, Omsk, Veliky Novgorod, Velikiye Luki, Kungur, Karaganda, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Yoshkar-Ola and Ulan-Ude, as well as pilots from Armenia and Kazakhstan - total 20 pilots, of which teams were formed for hot air balloons.

The organizers of the Second International Ballooning Festival "Samrau" was the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Aeronautical Federation of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Ural-Tengri tour operator provided ground support in hard-to-reach areas and coordination of the rescue team.
