Flight from Ufa to Chinese island of Hainan is canceled due to coronavirus spread

The Tez Tour tour operator canceled the flight departure from Ufa to the southern Chinese city of Sanya. An outbreak of coronavirus caused this cancellation.

“On January 27, 2020, iFly flight 9741 was canceled. For questions regarding the return or transfer of tours, please contact your tour operator”, it is specified on the website of the Ufa airport.

According to RIA Novosti, today, all tourist points and attractions are closed at the Chinese resort. The Hainan administration promises to inform about the renewal additionally.

Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that at the Ufa airport, all arriving passengers were checked with a thermal imager.

Chinese authorities informed the World Health Organization of the outbreak of coronavirus at the end of 2019. The first infected was found in Wuhan, where 11 million people live. Currently, the entire province is quarantined. According to the latest data, it is known about almost three thousand sick, more than 80 dead and one cured.

The Federal Tourism Agency reminded that tourists could refuse trips to China without hesitation: tour operators were required to return the funds in full.
