Newborns number decreased by 10% in Bashkiria in 2019

In Bashkortostan, for the 12 months of 2019, 42,053 children were born in the republic (89% of the previous year): 21,680 girls and 20,373 boys, 1307 more girls. The State Committee RB for Justice provided the information.

According to statistics from the State Committee, 15 448 first-born children, 15 803 second children, 7 749 third children, 2 111 fourth and 1112 fifth and more children, as well as 480 twins and eight triplets were registered in Bashkortostan from January to December last year.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, in 2018 in Bashkortostan 22,807 girls and 24,264 boys were born. In the departments of the registry office, 47 411 records of birth certificates were registered, which is 2,258 less than in 2017. The birth of 17,334 first-born, 18,855 second children, 7,917 third children, 2,178 fourth and 1,033 fifth and more children, as well as 607 twins and 10 triples, was recorded. As for Ufa, 16 114 newborns were born in the capital.
