Bashkiria was named progressive region of Russia in personalized medicine

Bashkiria was called the advanced region of Russia in the field of personalized medicine. It was told to Bashinform News Agency by the vice-premier of the government of the republic, Lenara Ivanova, after speaking at the "Healthy Moscow" Assembly, which took place at VDNH from January 16 to 19.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Bashkiria Government clarified that currently in Russia, there was an understanding that healthcare should be an industry of the future, it was something worth investing in it. It means breakthrough technical and IT solutions, personalized medicine. The last one is that optimal treatment will be found for everyone.

"In this sense, our republic was among the progressive regions, as we were called at the panel "From A Scattered Network To Health Factories". Our achievements, including in remote technologies, telemedicine consultations [used in the emergency medical service, cardiology, oncology - ed.], improvement of the laboratory service, plans for the implementation of artificial intelligence [4.5 million electronic medical records and terabytes of information in the RMIAS database are accumulated in Bashkiria]," said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Lenara Ivanova recalled that in the framework of the "Healthcare" national project, the republic was providing the central district and city hospitals, and rural health stations with new equipment. As a result, through such equipment, the region will be able to use the services and consultations of doctors in Ufa, Moscow, and other subjects of the country by transmitting data about the patient and their examinations at a distance. Thus, highly qualified care will be able to reach the most remote parts of Bashkiria.
