Russia will completely switch to electronic medical records until 2022

By 2022, every Russian will have an electronic medical record. It was announced at the “Healthy Moscow” Assembly by the Acting Minister of Health of the country Veronika Skvortsova. According to the head of the department, in two years, the state will complete the arrangement of a single digital system, which includes electronic records, remote "communication" [that is, filling them out], the introduction of microchips, and other gadgets.

“There is a lag behind other countries in the development and digitalization of healthcare, but we are moving fast,” said Veronika Skvortsova.

The artificial intelligence will study tests, symptoms, and other indicators to help physicians make diagnoses.

In addition to this, the Acting Head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation shared information with the audience of the assembly on the country's pharmaceutical industry, noting that domestic drugs constitute 80% of the market.
