Head of Bashkiria will award doctors who saved pregnant woman with penetrating abdomenal wound

The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov ordered to award a team of doctors who saved a pregnant woman with a deep penetrating knife wound to the abdomen and her child. The rewarding of doctors is planned at one of the next "Healthcare Hour" sessions in the republican government.

As Bashinform News Agency reported on January 10, a woman was admitted to maternity hospital No. 3 in Ufa at the 34th week of pregnancy with a deep penetrating wound to the abdomen. The peritoneum, omentum, uterus and forearm of the child were affected.

Ufa doctors provided all the necessary assistance to the mother and baby.

Then the Minister of Health of the region, Maxim Zabelin, thanked the specialists of the maternity hospital No. 3 for the work done - anesthetists-resuscitators Yevgeny Kukushkin and Vladislav Romanov, obstetrician-gynecologists Albert and Liana Savina, the surgeon of the city hospital No. 8 Alexei Shirobokov.

“It was the coordinated work of the ambulance team, obstetrician-gynecologists of the third maternity hospital and surgeons of the eighth city hospital. The state of mother and child is now stable, good. The boy is developing. The mother, I am convinced, is happy, enjoys motherhood, everything is fine. They are in the hospital so far”, Maxim Zabelin shared with a Bashinform reporter on Friday.
